Two postdoctoral positions are available in the NMR group of the CNRS Laboratory UMR
8576, located on the Science and Technology University Campus, in Lille, North of France.
1) Study of the allostery in a nuclear receptor. This position is in collaboration with
an industrial partner, and is for two years. Experience with multidimensional NMR is
required, both at the level of the spectrometer and of the structure calculations. The
team has access to 3 Bruker spectrometers, a 600MHz with cryoprobe, a 800MHz and a 900MHz
with cryoprobe.
2) Study of the interaction between phosphorylated Tau and the prolyl cis/trans isomerase
FKBP52. This project is funded by the French ANR, and is in collaboration with the group
of Prof. E.E. Baulieu (Inserm, Paris). The project aims to understand at the molecular
level how FKBP52 regulates the physiological and pathological aspects of Tau, and its
potential implication in Alzheimer’s disease development. The project additionally
involves assays of small molecules with therapeutic potential. Competence in protein
biochemistry and biophysical techniques is required. Knowledge of protein NMR is a plus.
The position, initially for two years, can be extended by another two years in the
framework of a Marie Curie European project funded together with the group of Dr. C.
Ottmann in Dortmund, Germany. In the latter case, an exchange with the German group is
expected.
More details can be obtained from Drs. G. Lippens (Guy.Lippens@univ-lille1.fr) or I.
Landrieu (Isabelle.Landrieu@univ-lille1.fr). Interested candidates should send their CV
and the names of two persons willing to write a recommendation letter.
